The wait is over: The official entry list for the 2025 1000 Miglia has been released. Over 400 cars have been selected by the 1000 Miglia Selection Committee – a group tasked each year with hand-picking the vehicles allowed to participate in the legendary race that Enzo Ferrari once described as “the most unique, rolling museum in the world.”

The 400+ starting teams represent 29 countries. Italy tops the list, closely followed by the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

The Cars:

A total of 127 pre-war models will take part in the 43rd re-enactment of the Red Arrow race.

78 of the entries are authentic participants from the original speed competition held between 1927 and 1957.

The exclusive lineup includes 18 pre-war Alfa Romeos, 17 Ferraris, 10 Bugattis, and 8 Bentleys. Among the most remarkable vehicles are the one-of-a-kind Biondetti Ferrari-Jaguar Special, as well as classics like the Aston Martin DB3 and two Porsche 550 Spyder RS models.

The Route:

This year’s route covers approximately 1,900 kilometers over five days – from Tuesday, June 17 to Saturday, June 21, 2025. The route is inspired by the first 12 editions of the original 1000 Miglia and follows a figure-eight layout with stops in San Lazzaro di Savena, Rome, Cervia-Milano Marittima, and Parma.

Favorites and Famous Faces:

Andrea Vesco and Fabio Salvinelli – chasing their fifth consecutive win behind the wheel of a 1929 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 SS Zagato – will face strong competition from teams like Fontanella-Covelli, Aliverti-Polini, and Tonconogy-Ruffini.

The lineup also includes celebrities from outside the car world: celebrity chef Joe Bastianich will drive a 1954 Porsche 356 1000 Speedster, while Carlo Cracco will co-pilot a 1927 Bugatti T40.

Rules and Authenticity:

All participating cars must be certified by the Registro 1000 Miglia, ensuring their authenticity and that they meet the standards worthy of the race’s prestige.

Motorsektionen’s Comment:

1000 Miglia 2025 once again confirms its status as the world’s most beautiful and authentic classic car race. This year’s field offers a spectacular blend of historical depth, technical elegance, and pure passion for automotive heritage.
